Uncivil War
03:25
|
|||
They'll hound you down everywhere you turn
girl, I'm just here to watch it burn
It's been fifteen years and the streets don't look the same
empty faces, cardboard in the rain
Some got fooled and some just turned away
it'll take a hundred years but we'll be okay
Oh, in this pile of bones
oh, what are we lying for?
oh, from coast to coast
welcome to the uncivil war
He learned it from his daddy overseas
well, you don't look like me
It's been circumscribed and televised, the lights
of a hundred torches burning in the night
It's widening from the day to curse the day
I hate you but I love you just the same
Oh, in this pile of bones
oh, what are we lying for?
oh, from coast to coast
welcome to the uncivil war
welcome to the uncivil war

Send in the Clowns
02:25
|
|||
Time is overrated
down here with the working poor
Don't you complicate it
close your eyes it's a civil war
Throw 'em out, vote 'em in
it all means about the same
If half of us is right, well shit...
send in the clowns again
send in the clowns again
send in the clowns again
The lines are forming now
if it's been a year it's been a day
And I do disavow that middle brow
that brings so much shame
Throw 'em out, vote 'em in
it all means about the same
If half of us is right, well shit...
send in the clowns again
send in the clowns again
send in the clowns again
send in the clowns again

Doubleplus Ungood
04:10
|
|||
What you see
and what you hear is not really there
I can't breathe anymore
And you're free
to live in your own reality
but I can't meet you there.
And I know
when the light is burning low
we can, we can still stand on our knees.
And forget
forget all that stupid shit,
you wreck, you bitch, you lonesome beast.
And I see
a part of you and a part of me
all twisted in deceit
I can't breathe
the gas and noise is killing me
this is
this is
this is free.

Crystalline
03:50
|
|||
Washed up little satellite
you keep the river on your right
deliver us inside
deliver us from sight
Punched out little cigarette
you're bein' murdered by a friend
and if you hurt you'll hurt again
and if you hurt you'll hurt again
This is the valley of defeat
This love is part of me
Wrapped up little buffalo
you see, the land is all you know
and you can still feel th glow
you can still see the glow
This is the valley of deceit
This love, this part of me
Hold fast little crystalline
we never say just what we mean
we never say a goddamn thing

Interconnected
05:28
|
|||
All hail these squares of light
tell me how to act and who to love and how to fight
Interconnected we all sound just the same
you'd sell it it all just to look like them
you'd give it all, all away
Throw another load of fuel to the light
make sure it's failing, make sure it's burning bright
Interconnected but I don't know your name
only what's inside your stream
it gives you all, all away
In came the thunder like a drunken bouncer
to curb the fate of another easy answer
I sting the fate in every face I see
did I give up on people or did they give up on me?

Harold's IGA Sandpoint, Idaho
Harold's IGA was a classic grocery store in Sandpoint. It was bulldozed to the ground to make room for progress. Now it's an
indie folk-rock band with an ever-changing cast of characters. Ben Olson writes the songs. Cadie Archer plays a multitude of instruments. Josh Vitalie pounds the drums. It's fun.
This band doesn't take itself too seriously. Nor should it.
